Top Down on the Coast
Miami suits a convertible 911. South Beach on a weekday morning, the causeways at golden hour, A1A up through Sunny Isles and Bal Harbour: all of it is better with the roof lowered and the flat-six behind you.
The Car
A 3.0 litre twin-turbo flat-six produces 443 horsepower and about 390 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch. The power-operated fabric soft top opens the cabin quickly. Premium red leather and the classic centrally mounted tachometer set the cockpit. Exterior: Blue. Interior: Red. Engine: 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six. Power: 443 hp at 6,500 rpm. Torque: About 390 lb-ft. Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive, 8-speed PDK dual-clutch. 0-60 mph: About 3.5 seconds with Sport Chrono. Behind the Wheel
Active suspension, precise steering and rear-wheel-drive balance give the sharp, connected feel the 911 is known for, roof up or down. It is quick without being intimidating and comfortable enough for a full day of driving.
