Everything about Villa Blanca is white, tall and open. Pale stone floors run from the entrance hall through a double-height living room to a pavilion that faces the pool, and the glass walls between them slide away so the house and the garden read as one space. Eleven bedrooms and nine and a half bathrooms put it in a small class of Miami houses that can hold a whole family, a wedding party or a team off-site under one roof without anyone sharing a wall they would rather not.
Miami, close to Aventura
The estate sits behind palms and a lit entrance path in a residential pocket of Miami, near Aventura Mall and a short drive from the beaches. It is a house you arrive at rather than pass, with parking on the property and a garden large enough to hold a tennis court and a full pool terrace without crowding the lawn. The main living room is double height, with a deep sectional, a built-in media wall and a staircase that turns the room into a gallery. A pool table sits on the upper living level behind a glass balustrade. The dining table is long enough for a full house, set beneath tall windows that open to the pool, and the kitchen beyond it is a marble waterfall island with a row of bar stools, double ovens, a wine fridge and an espresso machine. There are four king rooms, among them the Master, three rooms with two queens each and four rooms with a queen, fourteen beds in all. Pool, court and pavilion
The pool is a long, angular rectangle with in-water loungers and a raised spa corner, lit after dark so the whole house glows white against the garden. Beside it is a full tennis court, with a basketball hoop on the grounds, and a covered pavilion with a timber ceiling holds a long outdoor dining table and a lounge facing the water.
