Luxury Yachts in Split
Weekly crewed yacht charters from ACI Marina Split. Hvar, Brač, Vis and the central Dalmatian islands, with Split Airport about 25 minutes away. Book direct.
Split is where most Dalmatian island weeks begin, and for good reason. The old town is built inside the walls of Diocletian's Palace, a Roman emperor's retirement home that the city simply moved into, and the yachts berth a short walk away at ACI Marina Split. From that one harbour the central islands sit within a few hours of each other: Brač and its long beaches, Hvar and the Pakleni islands, Vis further out, and Šolta close enough for a first-evening swim. Charters here are sold by the week rather than the day, with a full crew aboard, and the route is shaped around the wind and what your group wants from each day: anchorages, harbour towns or both. Split Airport (SPU) is about 25 minutes from the marina by road.
Hvar and the Pakleni Islands
Hvar Town is the busiest harbour in the central islands in high summer. The quieter play is to anchor in the Pakleni islands just offshore, swim through the afternoon, and tender into Hvar for dinner only.
Brač
The nearest large island to Split. Bol on the south coast has the Zlatni Rat beach, and the north coast villages are calm overnight stops that suit a first or last night of the week.
Vis and Biševo
The outer island, closed to foreign visitors for decades and still the least built-up. Komiža is a fishing harbour, and the Blue Cave on Biševo needs a calm morning and an early start.
Šolta
Close enough to Split for the first evening, with sheltered bays and very little traffic. A good place to settle in before the longer runs.
What Split Is Known For
Diocletian's Palace, a Roman palace that is still the heart of the old town. A full crew aboard for the whole week, from a short walk off the old town. Hvar, Brač, Vis and Šolta within reach of one harbour. Anchoring in the Pakleni islands and tendering into Hvar for dinner. The Blue Cave on Biševo on a calm morning. Split Airport about 25 minutes from the berth.
Best Time to Visit Split
The charter season runs from May to October. June and September are the best balance of warm sea, long days and space in the anchorages. July and August are the peak, when the popular harbours fill early and the larger yachts book first. In summer the maestral, a steady northwesterly, usually builds in the afternoon and makes for comfortable passages; a bura from the northeast is the wind the captains plan around, and on those days the route changes rather than the week.
Getting There
Split Airport (SPU) is about 25 minutes by road from ACI Marina Split, with direct flights from much of Europe in season. The ferry and catamaran port is beside the old town, which matters only if part of your group is joining mid-week on an island.
Can we charter for a day rather than a week?
The yachts listed here are offered by the week as standard. Shorter charters are not offered as standard; ask us and we will check with the crew for your dates.
What is the APA?
The advance provisioning allowance, 35% of the charter rate, paid on top of the rate. It covers fuel, food, drinks, port and marina fees during the week.
Can we sail from Split to Dubrovnik?
Yes, as a one-way week, subject to the yacht's own schedule and a repositioning arrangement. Tell us at enquiry, because it changes which yachts are available.
How far ahead should we book?
For July and August, as early as you can: the larger crewed yachts are booked week by week and the popular weeks go first. June and September usually have more choice.
