Race weekend
The Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix runs from April 30 to May 2, 2027, at the Miami International Autodrome, the circuit laid out across the grounds of the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens.
It is round six of the season, and the 2027 edition does not carry a Sprint, so the weekend follows the traditional shape: practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, the race on Sunday. Race weekend is one of the few times a year when where you sleep genuinely changes the weekend. The circuit sits in Miami Gardens, north of the city, and the traffic around the stadium complex on a race Sunday is its own event.

A hotel room in South Beach looks fine on a map and then costs you two hours of your Sunday. A house twenty minutes north does not. We hold twenty eight private villas across Miami metro, and the cluster in North Miami Beach and Miami Shores is the closest group of large houses we have to the circuit. We also charter eighteen crewed yachts in the same city, which is how most groups spend the Friday or the Saturday evening once practice is done.
This page covers which houses suit a race weekend, why the northern cluster matters, what a boat adds, and what we confirm before anything is booked. One thing it is not: we do not sell tickets or paddock hospitality, and nothing here implies we do.
Why the house matters more than usual on a race weekend
Three things make the Miami Grand Prix different from an ordinary Miami weekend. The first is the volume of people. A modern Formula 1 race weekend brings a very large crowd into one stadium complex across three days, and the road network around Miami Gardens absorbs that crowd slowly. The second is the shape of the days: gates open long before a session and the circuit empties all at once afterwards, so your travel time is concentrated into the same windows as everybody else's.
The third is that a race weekend is a group trip almost by definition. People come in fours, sixes and twelves, often from different cities, arriving on different days. That is a house, not a block of hotel rooms. A house gives you one address for the group, a kitchen for the mornings before an early session, somewhere to sit down together after the race, and a pool for the long gap between practice and dinner.
The practical consequence is that geography is the first filter, not the last. We start any race-weekend conversation by asking which sessions you are actually attending, because a group going to all three days wants to be north, and a group going only to Sunday can sit anywhere in the city and take one long drive.
The northern cluster, closest to the circuit
The Miami International Autodrome is in Miami Gardens. Our North Miami Beach and Miami Shores houses are the closest large properties in the collection, and for a group attending multiple days they are the obvious starting point.
Villa Ruby is the one we suggest most often for a race weekend: nine bedrooms sleeping twenty, with nine full en-suite bathrooms and no shared pairs, plus a covered outdoor living room that works when a group of twenty wants to be outside but not in direct sun. Villa Jasper matches the nine en-suite count for eighteen guests and adds a private putting green and a turf terrace. Villa Emerald sleeps twenty across nine bedrooms with two master suites, one on each floor, which suits two families travelling together, though two pairs of bedrooms share Jack and Jill bathrooms rather than all being en-suite.
Villa Sapphire and Villa Onyx are the eight-bedroom options in the same cluster, both for eighteen guests, with Villa Onyx running to roughly 5,750 square feet with all eight bedrooms en-suite plus a half bath, a gazebo and a covered terrace. Slightly further south in Miami Shores, Villa Indigo takes eighteen across eight bedrooms, and Villa Summercrest and Villa Reverie each take twelve, which is the right size for a single group of friends rather than a multi-family trip.
The rest of the city, and when to choose it
If you are only going to the race itself, or if the weekend is as much about Miami as about the circuit, the houses further south open up and several of them are better houses.
Villa Crest sits on one of the rare elevations in Miami, seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms for eighteen, with an infinity-edge pool deck over the skyline and full smart-home lighting control. Villa Savant carries a rooftop infinity pool and a rooftop jacuzzi and bar above a second pool at bay level, a spa with steam room and sauna, a cinema room and eight en-suite bedrooms, which makes the gap between sessions easy to fill. Villa Calabassa on Miami Beach is the largest house we have, ten bedrooms sleeping twenty two with over 140 feet of private dock, though eight and a half bathrooms across ten bedrooms means some rooms share.
For a group with children along, Villa Castro sits on more than an acre with a combined basketball and pickleball court, an arcade room and a separate game room. And Infinity Penthouse is the downtown answer, six bedrooms over two floors of a waterfront tower with a wraparound terrace and building rooftop access, for a group that wants to walk to dinner rather than drive to it.
The honest trade is simple. South and east gives you the better house and the better city; north gives you back two hours a day across a three-day weekend. We will tell you which one your itinerary actually wants rather than steering you to whatever is open.
The boat, the cars, and what we confirm first
Most race-weekend groups put one day on the water, usually the Friday or the Saturday evening after qualifying. We charter eighteen crewed yachts in Miami, each listed for up to thirteen guests, so the choice is about the character of the day rather than headcount.
The 105 Leopard carries its full toy package in the base rate, including a custom inflatable slide, an aft-deck jacuzzi, a jet ski, seabobs, paddleboards and an eight-person floating island, which is the easy answer for a daytime group. The 90 Pershing has three separate dining areas, three sundecks and a full galley for an evening built around a long dinner with a private chef, and at 4,870hp it is a genuine sport yacht if someone in the group wants speed on a weekend that is about speed. The 125 Azimut Grande is the 2025 flagship with five en-suite cabins, an onboard gym and a sea-level beach club lounge, and the 166 Trinity is the largest we charter in the city, with seven en-suite cabins and a licensed crew of seven included.

Over a race weekend that is not a luxury: parking at the circuit is finite, the roads around the complex move in one direction at a time, and a driver who can drop and collect is worth more than a car you have to park yourself.

Is it worth staying north, or should we stay in South Beach?
It depends on how many sessions you are attending. A group going Friday, Saturday and Sunday saves a meaningful amount of time each day by staying north. A group attending only the race can stay anywhere in the city and take one long drive, and the houses further south and east are often the better houses.
How large a group can you accommodate?
Most of our Miami houses sleep twelve or more. Villa Ruby and Villa Emerald each sleep twenty, and Villa Calabassa on Miami Beach sleeps twenty two across ten bedrooms. We confirm the true sleeping configuration before you commit.
Can we add a yacht for the weekend?

Is there a minimum stay over the race weekend?
