The 130-ft Sovereign was completely remodeled in 2018, with a new interior, electronics, decks and engine room upgrades. Five cabins, a long salon that opens to the stern and seating inside and out make it one of the larger charter yachts working out of Cabo San Lucas. New ABT at-rest stabilizers keep the ride steady, which matters if anyone in your group is prone to motion sickness.

The Setting

She leaves from Marina Del Rey in Cabo San Lucas. Typical days run out to the Land's End arch and Lover's Beach, then along the coast to the protected bays of Chileno and Santa Maria. The captain sets the route with you, with swim stops where the water is calmest.

On Board

The main salon has a sectional sofa, a bar and a formal dining table, and the galley has a granite island and stainless appliances. Upstairs, the helm has three captain's chairs and the aft deck has a dining table that faces the arch. A private chef cooks on board, and the open bar runs for the whole charter. Water Toys and Fishing

The toy list is long and it is all included in the charter rate: a 6-person jacuzzi, an inflatable sea pool, two Seadoo Sparks, two Seabob F5 S, an E-foil surfboard, two stand-up paddleboards, two kayaks and snorkel equipment. Dining

The chef builds the menu around the length of your charter. Appetizers include shrimp cocktail, Rockefeller oysters, Baja-style ahi tuna sashimi, coconut shrimp and tropical Mexican ceviche. Mains range from beef fajitas and pescado zarandeado to surf and turf, fish tacos and a full sushi party. Breakfast is available for morning starts and dessert comes with 8-hour charters.
